For well over a decade, Barrett has worked closely with Polacheck’s Jewelers: Calabasas’ premier, family-owned and operated watch & jewelry retailer. In 2022, Polacheck’s embarked on an extensive store overhaul which included the addition of an all-new Rolex sales area.
Barrett built an extremely sturdy wood and steel structure within the existing building’s shell to support the immense heft of complex finishes. Vein-matched travertine, grain-matched walnut, and an intricate array of concealed ducts, specialty lights, and high-security casework mirror the uncompromising craftsmanship of the Swiss timepieces they house.
Precision throughout the project was paramount as we ensured pieces prefabricated in Switzerland fit on arrival. Barrett transposed detailed drawings in the field, working with zero-tolerance in mind.
After completing the underlying structure, Barrett worked in tandem with the shop’s designers and final assembly team, Obrist. A world-renowned interior creator, Obrist pushed the limits of their design and construction for this project.
This store features several “firsts” for both Rolex and Obrist. All elements from the Jubilee Bracelet chandelier to the Cyclops-reminescent pendants were designed with Rolex’s most iconic features in mind.
